Middle Avon and tributaries

This is a flood alert update. High river levels and further forecast rain may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible on 28 and 29 January 2026 . Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near rivers around tributaries between Salisbury and Ringwood. Rivers are still rising in the catchment following recent rainfall. Further rainfall is forecast in the coming days. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels . Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water .
