Middle Avon at The Close and St Anns, Salisbury

Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding today.  Flooding is expected on 28 January 2026 .  Locations most affected will be the Middle Hampshire Avon, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around Southampton Road Retail Park, Salisbury Business Park on Dairy Meadow Lane and Dairyhouse Bridge Caravan Site. Further flooding is expected this evening as river levels remain high due to recent rainfall and high groundwater levels. Weather conditions remain unsettled in the next few days and we are continuing to monitor the situation.  We are monitoring rainfall and river levels .  Never drive through flood water, just 30cm of fast flowing water is enough to move your car .  This message will be updated by 3:00PM on 29 January 2026 or as the situation changes.
