The River Yeo level at Huish Episcopi is currently 7.74m and falling. The drain level at Huish Episcopi is 7.48m and falling.
Flooding affects the Langport to Muchelney road when this drain level exceeds 7.30m, the Muchelney to Long Load road above 7.86m, the Muchelney to Thorney road above 7.93m and the Muchelney to Drayton road above 8.80m. We are utilising the Parrett Relief Channel to manage levels in the River Parrett. We are pumping at Huish Episcopi and West Sedgemoor pumping stations as river and water levels on the moors allow.
Tuesday forecast is for rain and drizzle in places as a front arrives from the west. Overnight into Wednesday morning forecast is for moderate rain that clears eastward across the area.
We are monitoring the situation closely. Please avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
