The Yeo and Parrett rivers remain high following the overnight rain. Further rainfall is forecast from the afternoon of 09/12/2025 and into Wednesday 10/12/2025 which will cause further flooding impacts and sustain this Alert. The rain will cause rivers to rise again and bring fresh flows down into the Moors. The current river level at Huish Episcopi pumping station is 8.14m and falling. The current drain level at Huish Episcopi pumping station is 7.07m and is stable. Flooding will affect the road from Langport to Muchelney if this level exceeds 7.3m; the road from Muchelney to Long Load above 7.86m; the road from Muchelney to Thorney above 7.93m and the road from Muchelney to Drayton above 8.8m. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels. We are pumping when river levels allow. Avoid driving through flood water. Refer to the local authority website for any local road closures. This message will be updated by 2:00PM on 10 December 2025 or as the situation changes.
