Lower Frome and tributaries

River levels remain high at the Stinsford river gauge on the Lower Frome after recent rainfall. Flooding is forecast to affect low lying areas to start with near to the River Frome in the Dorchester, West Stafford, Bockhampton, Lewell, Tincleton, Pallington, Waddock, Moreton, Wool, East Stoke, Holmebridge, Stoborough, Stoborough Green, Wareham, Redcliffe, Ridge and Swineham areas. Further rainfall is forecast throughout Today which will keep river levels high. We will continue to monitor the forecast and re-issue this Flood Alert if necessary. Weather conditions are expected to improve from Wednesday. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. People in this area should take action now and watch your local weather forecast. This message will be updated by 10:00 AM on 10 December 2025, or as the situation changes.
