This is a Flood Warning Update. High river levels are expected to cause flooding. Flooding is expected on 28 and 29 January 2026. Areas most at risk include areas in Dorchester, West Stafford, Bockhampton, Lewell, Tincleton, Pallington, Waddock, Moreton, Wool and East Stoke. Levels are falling, but still remain high at the Stinsford river gauge following prolonged rainfall and high groundwater. The weather remains unsettled, and although there are only isolated showers forecast for today, there are further bands of rain forecast for tomorrow. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Never drive through flood water, just 30cm of fast flowing water is enough to move your car. Don't put yourself or others at risk. This message will be updated by 3:00PM on 29 January 2026 or as the situation changes.
