Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding overnight.  Flooding is expected from the early hours of 13 March 2026 .  Due to today's rainfall, river levels are rising and are expected to peak between 1AM and 2AM on the 13th March 2026. Locations most affected will be low lying roads, car parks, public spaces and recreational facilities at Rickerby Park, Swifts and Stoneyholme Golf Courses.  We are closely monitoring the situation .  Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water .  This message will be updated by 8:00AM on 13 March 2026 or as the situation changes.
