Lower River Don catchment

Rising river levels may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible on 28 January 2026. Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near the River Don from Hexthorpe to Stainforth, including Swaith Dike and North Swaith Dike in Bentley. Norwood Spillway on Ea Beck continues to operate. Fordstead Lane, Barnby Dun, is likely to be flooded. We are closely monitoring the situation.
