Lower River Derwent

High river levels today may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible today, 09 December 2025 due to recent heavy rainfall from Storm Bram. Locations most affected will be local roads and low-lying land near rivers around Stamford Bridge, Pocklington, Wressle, Wilberfoss and Elvington. No further significant rainfall is forecast. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and liaising with emergency services and local authorities. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
