High river levels today may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible from the morning of 12 February 2026 .
Locations most affected will be low lying land, roads and footpaths near rivers. Especially in the Ponteland area where river levels are forecast to peak tonight and remain high tomorrow. River levels at Stamfordham are falling but will remain high tomorrow.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels, though no further significant rainfall is forecast.
Avoid low lying roads and footpaths near rivers, which may be flooded .
