South Cornwall Coast from Gribbin Head to Rame Head

High tides and forecast weather conditions over the next two days may lead to flooding.  Flooding is possible 2 hours either side of high tide on Tuesday evening, Wednesday morning and Wednesday evening  Areas at risk include low lying areas Fore Street, Town Quay, Albert Quay and Caffa Mill Car park Fowey, Quay Street and Recreation ground at Lostwithiel, Polperro Harbour, Quay Road, The Quay at Looe and the B3247 Seaton. High tide at Plymouth on Tuesday is at 20:22 and Wednesday at 08:40, times will vary along the coast. Forecast total high tide levels are 2.85 and 2.66mAOD. Expect tide levels along the coast between 0.42 & 0.47 metres above tide table level. Strong force 5-6 SE winds and offshore wave heights of over 2-3m are forecast over high tide. Further Flood Alerts may be required.  We are closely monitoring the situation .  Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water .  This message will be updated by 12:00PM on 30 September 2026 or as the situation changes.
