South Somerset Rivers, Upper Reaches

Rising river levels this evening may lead to flooding.  Flooding is possible on 15 December 2025 .  Areas most at risk include roads at Ashford Mill, Isle Brewers, Fivehead, the Norton sub Hambdon to Stratton road, the A356 and the B3165 at Chiselborough and the B3168 at Ilford Bridges. Further rain is forecast overnight, with mainly dry conditions forecast tomorrow, 16 December 2025.  We are closely monitoring the situation .  Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses .  This message will be updated by 3:00PM on 16 December 2025 or as the situation changes.
