This flood alert remains in place. Areas most at risk include low lying land and roads between Melksham and Bathford. The flood gates at Holt Road may be closed. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Bristol Avon, Semington Brook, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected. River levels are steadily rising but are expected to peak overnight and start to fall during Wednesday 10 December 2025. However, further rainfall is expected later this week which will keep river levels high and this flood alert in place. We are closely monitoring the situation and will update this message by 11:30AM on 10 December 2025, or as the situation changes.
