River levels have fallen in the upper catchments over the weekend but significant volumes of floodwater remain on the low-lying levels and moors. Flooding may continue to affect low-lying land and roads around the lower River Brue and North Drain.
A rise in river levels is expected on Sunday evening in response to rainfall which fell earlier in the day. Levels are expected to peak at Lovington around 10:30pm. Sunday's rain will clear in the afternoon and it will remain dry on Monday. Another band of rain arrives on Monday evening continuing through to Tuesday afternoon.
We are closely monitoring the situation and checking flood defences. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated by 1:00pm on 02 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
