River Parrett (lower) at Langport Westover Trading Estate

The level in the Westover Drain remains very high. Flooding is expected to continue to affect low lying land and roads near the River Parrett at Langport. Areas most at risk include Cheapside, Whatley Mews, Parrett Close, Bow Street, Moor Park and Westover Trading Estate. Showers are forecast tonight and on Saturday. Rainfall will mainly be light but there is potential for heavier downpours. Sunday and Monday are both forecast to be drier until more rain arrives later on Monday. We are closely monitoring the situation and our Field Teams have been clearing debris screens and checking flood banks and spillways. Act on your flood plan if you have one.
