High tides this evening and Wednesday may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible from 7:45PM to 11:45PM on the 17 February 2026. Flood is also possible from 07:50AM to 11:50AM and 08:20PM to 12:20AM on 18 February 2026.
Areas most at risk include Christchurch Harbour and tidal stretches of the Lower Stour and Avon. The detailed tidal forecast for those who use it is - the first forecast high water of 1.19 mAODN is at 09:45PM with south easterly force 6 winds. The second forecast high water is at 09:50AM on the 18 February with a level of 1.32mAODN with easterly force 7 winds. The third forecast high water is at 10:20PM with a level of 1.29mAODN with northerly force 5 winds. (mAODN is height above average sea level.)
We are closely monitoring the situation. Avoid coastal roads, footpaths and carparks, which may be flooded. Don't put yourself or others at risk.
