Upper Stour and tributaries

High river levels tomorrow may lead to flooding.  Flooding is possible on 10 December 2025 due to heavy rainfall last night and today. Flooding of roads and low lying land is possible. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Upper Dorset Stour and Shreen Water, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around tributaries between Gillingham and Sturminster Newton. Flooding is possible Today as river levels have risen after intense rainfall overnight and throughout Tuesday. Weather conditions are expected to improve from Wednesday with little rainfall expected.  We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and checking rivers for blockages.  Consider activating any flood protection products you may have and monitor local water levels and weather conditions.  This message will be updated by 2:00PM on 10 December 2025 or as the situation changes.
