Upper Stour and tributaries

This is a flood alert update. River levels remain high due to previous rainfall. Flooding is possible at locations near the Upper Dorset Stour, Shreen Water tributaries between Gillingham and Sturminster Newton. Further rainfall is forecast this evening which may keep levels high. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels. Monitor local water levels and weather conditions and consider activating any flood protection products you may have. This message will be updated by 5:00PM on 10 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
