River Piddle from Alton Pancras to Wareham

This is a flood warning update. River levels remain high following heavy rainfall and high groundwater levels. Further rain is forecast tonight. Flooding is expected on 29 January 2026. Areas most at risk include Alton Pancras, Piddletrenthide, Piddlehinton, Druce, Puddletown, Athelhampton, Affpuddle, Briantspuddle, Throop and Wareham including Purbeck View Park. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one and activate any flood protection products you may have. This message will be updated by 02:00 PM on 30 January 2026 or as the situation changes.
