High river levels on Friday may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 30 January 2026 , as a small amount of rain fell overnight (12mm).
High tide at Southampton is forecast at 21:15 and 22:30 30/01/2026 at 4.75 metres Chart Datum (2.01 mAOD). For 1.5 hours either side of high water, the incoming tide will prevent river from flowing to sea. This may flood the access road and the car park near to the White Swan Pub at Mansbridge. Footpath flooding may also affect Riverside Park. The next high tide at 09:30 31/01/2026 is forecast to be 9cm lower but similar impacts may occur. Over the next 5 days, tide levels and river flows are expected to be higher than normal. Flood risk will remain elevated throughout the coming days.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and are liaising with Southampton City Council on operation of Woodmill.
Consider activating any flood protection products you may have . Including defences around the White Swan pub.
