Groundwater levels in Finchdean, Dean Lane End and Rowlands Castle are slowly falling. In the last week, the level at the borehole in Finchdean has fallen by 8cm. Flooding is expected to be affecting a small number of cellars in Finchdean, Dean Lane End and Rowlands Castle. Road flooding is expected to be ongoing. Sewerage system impacts could also be possible. Only a small amount of rain (between 10 and 20mm) is forecast to affect Hampshire between Monday 09/03/2026 and Friday 13/03/2026. Over the weekend and into next week, further unsettled weather is possible. Groundwater levels are expected to slowly fall this week, but could begin rising in the second half of March if heavy rain affects the valley. We are closely monitoring the situation. Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed. This message will be updated by 18:00 16/03/2026.
