Flood Alert

River Thames and its tributaries from Days Lock to above Pangbourne

Rising river levels may lead to flooding. River levels are high and rising slowly on the River Thames. Therefore flooding of low lying land and roads is expected to continue today, 28 Jan 2026, especially in the Goring and Streatley area. The forecast is for a predominantly dry day and night with the possibility of light showers. River levels on the Thames are expected to rise gradually through today as water moves downstream. Levels are expected to remain high over the coming days. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels. Avoid low lying footpaths and roads near rivers, which may be flooded. Go to River levels online for updates on current river levels. This message will be updated by 12:00 pm on 29 Jan 2026 or as the situation changes.
