River Thames and tributaries from Buscot Wick down to Kings Lock

"High river levels may lead to flooding. Flooding of low lying land and roads remains possible overnight, 15 December 2025, particularly along the River Thames in the Shifford area. The forecast is for rainfall overnight which at times may be heavy. Rainfall is expected to clear by the early hours of tomorrow morning, leaving a drier day tomorrow, 16 December 2025. River levels are currently falling. In the upper reaches of the River Thames, river levels may start to rise again overnight in response to forecast rainfall. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels. Avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated by 09:00 16 December 2025 or as the situation changes."
