High river levels may lead to flooding.
River levels are high on parts of the River Kennet and its tributaries from Berwick Bassett down to Newbury. Flooding of low lying land and roads remains possible today, 10 March 2026, including in the Hungerford area. The forecast is for a predominantly dry day today and tomorrow with light showers possible. River levels are high but falling very slowly. We expect levels to fall gradually over the coming days.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels. Avoid low lying footpaths and roads near rivers, which may be flooded. Go to River Levels Online for updates on current river levels.
