River Kennet from Thatcham down to Reading

High river levels may lead to flooding. River levels are high on parts of the River Kennet from Newbury down to Reading. Flooding of low lying land and roads remains possible today, 10 March 2026, including in the Calcot area. The forecast is for a predominantly dry day today and tomorrow with light showers possible. Levels are high but falling slowly. We expect levels to fall gradually over the coming days. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels.
