Flood Alert

River Ock from Watchfield to Abingdon, and also the Letcombe Brook at Wantage, Grove and East Hanney

High river levels may lead to flooding. River levels are high on the Mill Brook. Flooding of low lying land and roads is expected to continue today, 10 March 2026, especially in the areas around Wantage. The forecast is for a predominantly dry day today and tomorrow with light showers possible. Levels are high but stable. We expect levels to fall very gradually over the coming days. Levels along most of the River Ock are below the flood risk threshold. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels. Avoid low lying footpaths and roads near rivers, which may be flooded. Go to River Levels Online for updates on current river levels. This message will be updated by 12 PM on 11 March 2026 or as the situation changes.
