The Suffolk coast at Southwold

High tides tomorrow may lead to flooding.  Flooding is possible between 10.45 am and 12.45pm tomorrow, Saturday 15th August.  We expect high tide levels at the harbourside in Southwold. The detailed forecast is for a peak level at Lowestoft of 1.60mAODN at 11.45am, on Saturday 15th August, which is 0.27m above tide tables, Wind Force 4 , North Easterly. Tides are expected to be higher than usual, due to the forecast weather conditions during spring tides.  We are closely monitoring the situation .  Avoid coastal roads, footpaths and carparks, which may be flooded .  This message will be updated by 4:00PM on 15 August 2026 or as the situation changes.
