High river levels today may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 28 January 2026 River levels continue to be high following yesterday's rain.
Areas most at risk are riverside areas of the River Stour between Sudbury and Dedham. In Langham, local roads are prone to flooding and cars may become stranded on Sky Hall Hill Road, Wick Road and Lower Farm Road. The weather forecast is improving, and we expect levels to start returning to normal soon.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels .
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses .
