Loughborough urban watercourses and local tributaries to the River Soar


Forecast rising river levels overnight may lead to flooding.  Flooding is possible on 12 March 2026 overnight.  Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads including Kingfisher Way, Forest Road and Monarch Way from the Wood Brook, the Grace Dieu Brook, Burleigh Brook, Black Brook, Grammar School Brook, Hermitage Brook, Sileby Brook, Long Whatton Brook, King’s Brook and Kingston Brook. Heavy rainfall is forecast overnight into the early hours of tomorrow morning. River levels at Loughborough Gauge will begin rising from 18:00.  We are closely monitoring the situation .  Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water .  This message will be updated by 10:00AM on 13 March 2026 or as the situation changes.
