River Trent in Derbyshire

The risk of flooding remains. Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads including Willington, Barrow upon Trent, Swarkestone, Bargate Lane and the access roads to Willington Meadows, the Twyford Village access road, Church Lane at Barrow, and Ingleby Lane. No further rainfall is forecast. River levels at Willington and Shardlow Gauge are likely to remain elevated until 29/01/26. We are closely monitoring the situation. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses. This message will be updated by 10:00AM on 29 January or as the situation changes.
