River levels remain high but are falling, however the risk of flooding continues. Flooding is possible on 14 December 2025 and may continue over the next few days. Flooding may affect low lying land and roads adjacent the river from Shrewsbury to Upper Arley. Locations that may be affected are White Abbey, Coalbrookdale, Ironbridge and Bridgnorth. River Severn bank full at White Abbey, floodplain may be filling at Hayes Basin. Peaks:- Montford peaked at 5.63m overnight Wednesday 10/12, Welsh Bridge peaked at 3.22m 11/12 PM, Buildwas peaked at 4.39m 12/12, Bridgnorth peaked at 3.67m 12/12. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 10:00AM on 15 December 2025 or as the situation changes.
