River Dee catchment in England from Whitchurch to Chester


Further rainfall is forecast today, 9th December 2025. This will keep levels on the River Dee high. Levels will remain high today and into later this week. Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads around the River Dee at Shocklach, Farndon, Handley, Lower Kinnerton, Chester and Puddington. Townfield Lane is now impassable. Flood Warnings are not currently expected to be issued. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. This message will be updated by 10:00AM on 10 December 2025, or as the situation changes.
