Rivers Duddon, Crake and Mill Beck

Flooding continues to be possible on Monday 15 December 2025. Persistent rainfall over the last 48 hours has caused river and lake levels to rise. No further significant rainfall is expected on Monday or Tuesday. However, large amounts of flood water remain. Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near the rivers and lake. We are closely monitoring the situation. Avoid using low lying footpaths, bridges near local watercourses and do not drive through flood water. This message will be updated by 10:00AM on 16 December 2025 or as the situation changes.
