River Crake Valley

Following heavy rainfall overnight, river levels remain high and flooding is expected on 15 December 2025. Locations most affected will be the river Crake Valley, including Low Nibthwaite, Lowick Bridge, Spark Bridge and Penny Bridge. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and closely monitoring the situation. Don't put yourself or others at risk and take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
